Choosing sustainable materials
At Limited Edition, our fabrics are selected and assessed for their sustainable properties:
- We prefer non-artificial materials, such as 100% New Zealand wool, linen and silk.
- We strive to add ecological yarns, like ECONYL or sea silk, to our collection.
- We were the first company to produce a recycled outdoor rug: Poolside.
Producing on demand
To avoid overproduction and minimize waste, we only manufacture on demand. This guarantees premium quality for our customers while enhancing our performance as a sustainable manufacturer.
Renewing & reusing
We capture as much renewable solar energy as possible through a massive installation of photovoltaic panels on our buildings. This energy is then stored in our very own Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Green energy currently accounts for 74% of the total energy demand at our site, avoiding almost 820 tons of greenhouse gas emissions every year.
We also reuse wherever we can. Techniques like water decanting and oxygenation make it possible to reuse water, and our factories are well-insulated and equipped with reversible heat pumps to control cooling and heating.
Reducing our carbon footprint
Limited Edition is 100% vertically integrated in the city of Mouscron in Belgium. We have our own weaving, tufting, spinning and dyeing facilities, all just a few blocks away from our headquarters. This significantly reduces CO2 emissions from transport.
